Australia is one of the best study destinations in the world. Students from all around the world move to Australia for higher education. More than 400,000 international students move to Australia every year for their studies. It creates tough competition, and students must take an exam to prove themselves.
Thus, international students need to appear for two types of tests. These tests that students need to appear for are English proficiency tests and entrance exams. Sometimes, students may also be enrolled based on their academic scores. But, students must give at least one exam to enrol in any of the top Australian universities.
English proficiency tests are exams that assess a student's fluency in the English language. All international students must appear in English tests like IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, etc. On the other hand, entrance tests may assess a student's knowledge of a subject. For example, undergraduate students need to appear for Sat or Act, while graduate students appear for GRE or GMAT. Each of these exams assesses different topics and is for various courses.
