It is accepted by all Canadian universities. It is a computer-based test. The scores of this test are valid till 2 years after the results.

CAEL (Canadian Academic English Language Assessment Test)

This test checks the student's English proficiency in 4 skills. These skills are: Writing, Speaking, Listening, and Reading. Candidates are marked on a scale of 10 – 90.

PTE

This is a computer-based English proficiency test. It is not applicable in all universities. Thus, students must check with the university before giving the test.

65 with a minimum of 50 in each section.

Eligibility Requirements for Diploma Degree

Students can pursue 2 types of diploma courses in Canada: UG Diploma and PG Diploma. They may last for 1-3 years. The requirements for these are:

  • 60% marks in class 12th (for UG Diploma after 12th)
  • a minimum score of 65% in bachelor's degree (For PG Diploma)
  • English proficiency test score: IELTS - 6.5 or more, TOEFL - 88 (iBT)
  • Some management and business courses may require work experience

Eligibility Requirements for Bachelor's Degree

Any UG/Bachelor's degree in Canada may last for 3 years. The requirements of these for these degrees are:

  • At least 70% marks in 12th grade
  • Knowledge of Class 12th level Maths
  • TOEFL CBT: 237-250 min (varies for each course)

Eligibility Requirements for Master's Degree

A PG/Master's degree in Canada may last for 1-2 years. There are 2 types of master's degrees in Canada. One is a Master's by thesis, in this students may need to submit a research project. The other is a Master's by non-thesis, in this research project is not required.

Given below are the requirements to get enrolled in any master's program in Canada:

  • Students must have full-time work experience of 2-3 years.
  • Students must have completed 4 years of bachelor's degree with 70% marks.
  • GMAT score of 580-600 min.
  • TOEFL CBT: 237-250 min. (varies for each course)
  • IELTS score: 6.5 overall with at least 6 in all bands
  • Some institutions may ask for written samples/copies of Portfolio/published work.

Eligibility Requirements for MBA

MBA degree in Canada may last for 1-2 years. The requirement that one needs to fulfill to enroll in this degree are:

  • Bachelor's degree from a well-known university or institution.
  • Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) score.
  • Relevant work experience.
  • Scores of English language proficiency tests, like IELTS or TOEFL.
  • Statement of Purpose.
  • 2 Recommendation Letters.
  • Admission interview

Eligibility Requirements for a Doctorate

A PhD./Doctorate in Canada lasts for three to six years. The requirements to enroll in this degree are given below:

  • They need to self-quarantine for 14 days after arrival. They will be tested on day 8 and it must turn out to be negative.
  • Students might need to submit various medical reports. E.g. negative PCR, NAT, NAAT or RT LAMP test result. These must be issued between 10 -180 days between arrival.
  • Students will also be tested on arrival the reports of which must be negative.
